Are you looking to get in shape and tone up this year? Well if the various adverts that face us every single day are anything to be believed then the easiest way to do this is by buying a juicer. These clever little machines can turn all of your fruit and vegetables into a delicious tasting smoothie or glass of juice and it is a very easy and quick way to get your five a day. This review will be taking a closer look at the Jamba Appliances Citrus Juicer and seeing what it can do for you.
So what are the features?
Being one of the more simple juicers out there, the Jamba probably won’t be on the list of the best juicers of the year, but it still serves a purpose and has enough features to be a useful addition to your kitchen. It has been designed to be very simple to use, with an easy-grip handle and its heavy duty construction ensuring maximum juice yield and outstanding durability. The parts are removable for easy cleaning and the stainless steel reamer holds each half of the citrus fruit securely and filters out seeds and excess pulp.
Did they make an effort with the design?
Whilst it doesn’t look what I would call stylish, it does look fairly high tech! As it is a simple machine the design reflects that but this does not make it ugly by any means. You can tell that it has been practically designed rather than purely on aesthetics. This juicer is by no means big, but it certainly is taller than most others. Its dimensions are 9.1 x 8.8 x 17.8 inches, and I’ll let you guess which one of those represents the height! Fortunately, even with this added height this does not mean that it is heavy as it only weighs 11 pounds. This is just one of our many reliable juicer reviews, so if you would like to see how much other machines weigh to compare you can do just that!
It looks good so far!
The aim of this machine was to make home juicing simple and it has done just that. The design is very practical but this just means that it is incredibly simple to use. If you want fast and well pressed juice from a machine which is easy to clean then you could do a lot worse than this one.
Hit me with the bad news.
The biggest problem facing the Jamba is the fact that it is not suitable for larger fruits. It struggles with oranges and lemons which are bigger than average, and if you like your juice as much as I do then this can pose a problem. Nobody wants to be standing there making juice for twice as long because you have to use smaller fruit each and every time!
If it was your January goal to get in shape then the Jamba juicer could be a good tool in your arsenal. It may be simple, but it will supply you with fresh and healthy juice so why not try it out! You could be well on your way to that six pack, or if you are more like me then you’ll head straight back to the chocolate. Well, at least the thought was there……
